I am Alexandros Aidonis, a fine art documentary wedding photographer based in Ioannina, Epirus.
I photograph weddings and elopements all over Greece, from the intimate mountain ceremonies of Zagorochoria to the Ionian Sea in Parga and Lefkada to destination weddings in Santorini, Mykonos, and Europe, such as Tuscany, Provence, and the Amalfi Coast.
My approach is fine-art documentary. I do not chase perfection or poses.
I look for the quiet moments that reveal who people are when they forget they are being photographed. The way two hands find each other. The way sunlight touches a veil. The way a father looks at his daughter when the music starts. These are not grand scenes — they are small truths that stay.
What you see here is the accumulation of many small stories: weddings by the sea in Lefkada and Parga, mountain ceremonies in Ioannina and Zagorochoria, and intimate destination weddings across Greece and Europe. Each place has its rhythm. Each couple brings their own silence, their own chaos, their own tenderness. My work is to translate all that into photographs that feel like memory — not for what they show, but for what they make you remember.
