FAQs

SECTION 1 – PHILOSOPHY & APPROACH

What does “fine art documentary” mean in wedding photography?

For me, it means finding the balance between truth and beauty. Documentary photography is about presence — noticing without interfering, capturing what unfolds naturally. The fine art element comes through in how I use light, composition, and rhythm. I don't direct the day; I respond to it. The result? Honest, poetic imagery that reflects how your wedding truly felt.

Do you ever intervene during the wedding day?

Very little — and only when necessary. My goal is for you to forget the camera. Most of the time, I move quietly, staying close but unobtrusive. There are a few moments when I may offer gentle direction: during portraits, or when I see something beautiful unfolding and want to help it shine. But I never stage moments — I believe your story is powerful as it is.

What kind of couples usually connect with your style?

Couples who value sincerity over spectacle. The ones who care more about how the day feels than how it looks on Instagram. My clients often tell me, “We don’t love being in front of the camera — but we love your work because it feels real.” If you're looking for quiet, timeless images that reflect your connection rather than a trend, we’ll likely be a great fit.

SECTION 2 – BOOKING & PROCESS

How far in advance should we book you?

Most couples book 6–12 months ahead, especially for summer weddings and popular destinations like Santorini or Sifnos. That said, I sometimes have last-minute openings — so don’t hesitate to ask, even if your date is close.

What is the cost of wedding photography?

Local wedding coverage in Greece starts at €600. From there, I create a custom proposal based on your plans: the location, timeline, travel requirements, and whether you’d like extras such as portraits or a second photographer. Think of it as an experience tailored entirely to your needs — not a one-size-fits-all package.

What’s included in the photography experience?

Every booking includes high-resolution, carefully edited images delivered via a private online gallery. You can view, download, and share them easily. Additional options include engagement sessions, anniversary portraits, fine art albums, and second photographer coverage — all of which we can customize together.

How do we officially book you?

Once we’ve talked and you’re happy with the proposal, I’ll send you a simple online agreement and booking form. A 30% deposit confirms your date. Everything is handled digitally — securely and without stress. I’m here to guide you every step of the way.

SECTION 3 – DESTINATION & LOCAL EXPERIENCE

Where are you based? Do you only work in Epirus?

I’m based in Ioannina, a historic town in northwestern Greece surrounded by lakes, forests, and the breathtaking Zagori mountain villages. But no — I don’t limit my work to Epirus. I travel across Greece and Europe for weddings, elopements, and portrait sessions. Whether your celebration is local or far away, I bring the same quiet dedication and storytelling eye.

Do you photograph destination weddings abroad?

Absolutely. While Greece is home, I love photographing love stories across borders. If you’re planning a wedding or elopement in Europe — from the hills of Tuscany to a château in France — I’d be honored to join you. We’ll plan everything together so that I arrive rested, prepared, and fully immersed in your story.

What are your favorite wedding locations in Greece?

So many! I’ve photographed weddings in Santorini, Sifnos, Ios, Monemvasia, and the lush villages of Zagori — each offering its own mood and magic. The light in the islands is pure and soft; the mountain landscapes are serene and poetic. I’m always happy to recommend places that reflect your vision and energy.

What are the best photo spots in Epirus?

Epirus is full of hidden gems — from cobblestone alleys in Ioannina’s old town to stone bridges lost in the forest. The Zagorochoria region is a dream for couples who love nature, tradition, and quiet beauty. Whether we shoot in misty mountains or by the tranquil lake, the atmosphere always adds soul to your photos.

What’s the best time of year to get married in Greece?

Spring (April–June) and autumn (September–October) are ideal. The weather is mild, the light is golden, and locations are less crowded than in peak summer. Of course, summer weddings are also beautiful — especially on the islands — but require early planning due to demand and heat. I can help you choose the best date based on light, season, and location.

SECTION 4 – THE WEDDING DAY EXPERIENCE

How do you handle light, weather, and unexpected changes?

Light is everything in photography — and I’m always watching it. I adapt quietly to whatever the day brings, whether it’s golden sun, soft clouds, or even unexpected rain. If you’re planning an outdoor ceremony or session, I’ll scout the light and have flexible plans ready. Some of the most emotional, cinematic images I’ve created came from overcast skies or moody mist. I embrace the moment, whatever it looks like.

What can we expect from you on the day of the wedding?

You can expect calm energy, a quiet presence, and someone fully devoted to your story. I arrive early, blend into the rhythm of the day, and observe attentively. My role isn’t to orchestrate but to notice — the touch of a hand, the breath before a vow, the dance of light on your skin. I document the realness of your celebration without interfering, so your images feel true, natural, and timeless.

Do you give posing direction during the wedding day?

During most of the day, I photograph everything as it unfolds — no direction, no interference. When it’s time for portraits, I’ll offer simple, natural prompts that help you feel at ease. My goal isn’t to turn you into models, but to create a quiet space where your connection shows. The best portraits often come in the in-between moments, when you're simply being yourselves.
