A Ten-Year Story - Anastasis & Marina
There are sessions where you don't really direct anything. You just show up, stay quiet, and follow.
This was one of them.
Anastasis and Marina had been together for ten years. They wanted to come back to Zagori — a place that had always meant something to them — and mark that quietly. No performance. No concept. Just the two of them in a landscape they already knew.
We started in Kapesovo in the late morning, when the light was still soft and the village was almost empty. They walked slowly through the stone alleys. Talked. Sometimes said nothing. I stayed back.
From Kapesovo we moved to the Kalogeriko Bridge. The riverbed was dry that day — exposed stone and earth, raw and textured. He placed a hand on her back as they crossed. It wasn't a gesture for the camera. It was just what he did.
The last part of the day was at Oxya, above Monodendri. The wind picked up as the sun dropped. She leaned into him. He pulled her close. Nobody said anything about it.
Ten years doesn't need to be announced. It just needs to be seen.
