Portrait Photographer - Ioannina & Athens
A portrait session is not a test. There is no right or wrong way to sit in front of a camera. What I'm looking for is not the perfect expression — it's the moment you stop thinking about your expression.
I work with people who have something to show. Not necessarily a polished image, but something truer than that. Actors who need photographs for casting, musicians and artists who want to be represented properly, professionals who want an image that actually looks like them and not a corporate headshot that could belong to anyone.
As a portrait photographer in Ioannina, I work mainly with people from the arts and culture scene. The city has a quiet but active creative world - theatre, music, visual arts. Αnd that world needs photographs with character, not just technical precision.
In Athens the range is wider. From actors and musicians who need professional photographs for their work, to executives and entrepreneurs who want a contemporary image for LinkedIn or their company profile. The common thread: everyone wants something that looks real.
Sessions take place in studio or at your location, in both cities. Each session runs roughly one to two hours. There's no rush.
How a Portrait Session Works
We start with a short conversation to understand what you need and where the photographs will be used. This helps us decide whether to shoot in studio or on location, what kind of light we need, and what feeling we want the result to have.
During the session I direct when direction is needed and step back when it isn't. Most of the time the best photograph comes in the pause between the two.
After the session you receive your photographs through a private online gallery, usually within two to three weeks.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can you come to my location?
Yes. If you have a space that represents you — an office, a workshop, a stage, a home — we can work there. We discuss it before deciding. What should I wear?
Whatever you wear when you want to feel like yourself. Avoid very loud prints or logos that draw attention away from your face. We can talk through the rest.I'm not photogenic. What happens?
That's not a real thing. There are people who have never been photographed properly. That's different. How many photographs do I receive?
It depends on the session. My goal is not a number. It's to give you enough strong options that all of them are worth keeping. When do I receive my photographs?
Within one to two weeks of the session.
